Day 1

So ... I blame my simming buddies for making this project so tempting that I just couldn't help but be part of the fun, too. The purpose of this little project is to take one picture everyday for a full year. That's 365 days to you and me. Can you imagine what kind of pictures I might come up with every day? I certainly can't. Anyway, for my Day 1 image, I thought this was very appropriate:

It's the new camera I just got that I will take with me everywhere. It's small enough to fit into my backpack where it won't get in the way. It is my tool to bring me through 365 days of interesting (and not so interesting) days. It's not the best quality first photo (what with the flash and everything), but ... I think one of the interesting things about this project (for me at least) is to see how I've progressed .. in as far as picture-taking ... and life ... is concerned.

  3. Yay! Welcome to the land of picture taking, every single day. That's a cute camera! I wanted a pink HP but they were too expensive, then they sold out, and now I just make do with my trusty silver one. :D Can't wait to see your year progress through pictures~!

  4. It's always different with new cameras ... the "getting used to it" part. With my other camera, I still have the option of looking through a viewfinder (or using the LCD). 90% of the time, I used the viewfinder. :O) And my other camera has a 6x zoom ... this one only has a 3x ... so that means I have to get closer to some things to get a closer view of it. So yeah ... it's going to take some getting used to.

The camera is actually blue. :O) A love-er-ly blue, too. It's very cute. I took a couple of pictures today, but I'm not sure I'll use them for my day 2 or not. I have something else in mind. I was just trying to get used to taking pictures. I think I'll decrease the resolution to 1600x1200 (I really don't need it higher than that). That way, I can take MORE pictures with the 512 MB card I have in it. :O)
